Studio Rules
To help maintain a clean, safe, and enjoyable environment for everyone, we ask all students and visitors to follow these studio guidelines.
- Please wear clean indoor shoes inside the dance studios. During rainy or snowy weather, outdoor shoes must be changed before entering the studio.
- Food is not permitted inside the dance rooms. Drinks must be in sealed containers.
- Please help keep the studio clean by disposing of garbage and personal belongings after class.
- Students should arrive 5 to 10 minutes before class begins.
- Excessive lateness may result in being refused entry if participation is deemed unsafe or disruptive.
Registration & Booking
Registration is required for all classes.
- Adult drop-in classes are intended for ages 14+. Students under 14 may attend only with prior approval or in designated youth programs.
- Spaces are limited and are available on a first come, first served basis.
- Walk-ins are not guaranteed.
- Drop-in classes are available for students aged 14 and older unless otherwise specified.
- 3Dz Dance Studio reserves the right to cancel or combine classes with low enrollment. A minimum number of students may be required for a class to operate.
Payment Policy
- Full payment is required to confirm all registrations.
- Prices are subject to change without notice.
- Promotional offers cannot be combined unless explicitly stated.
- Outstanding balances must be paid before participating in class.
Refund Policy
All sales are final. Unless otherwise required by law:
- Tuition, memberships, class packages, camps, workshops, private lessons, registration fees, and event fees are non-refundable.
- Registrations are non-transferable to another person.
- No refunds or credits will be issued for missed classes, personal scheduling conflicts, vacations, illness, injury, work commitments, or other personal circumstances.
If 3Dz Dance Studio cancels a class, students will receive either:
- a replacement class,
- account credit, or
- another remedy determined by the studio.
Drop-in Class Cancellation Policy
Students may cancel their booking through the booking system.
- Cancellations made at least 12 hours before class will have the class credit returned to the student’s account.
- Cancellations made within 12 hours of class start, including no-shows, will forfeit the class credit.
- Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in booking restrictions.
Progressive Programs & Courses
Programs are designed as progressive learning experiences.
- Students are expected to attend all scheduled classes.
- Missed program classes are not refundable and cannot be rescheduled unless otherwise stated.
- Makeup classes may only be offered when specifically included in the program description.
Private Lessons
Private lessons require advance booking.
- Cancellations or rescheduling require at least 24 hours’ notice.
- Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged in full.
- Students arriving late will receive the remaining lesson time only.
Studio Rental Policy
- Rental bookings require advance confirmation.
- Rescheduling requests require at least 48 hours’ notice.
- Cancellations require at least 24 hours’ notice.
- Bookings cancelled within 24 hours will be charged the full rental fee.
- Renters are responsible for any damage caused during their booking.
Package Validity & Expiration
Each package includes a clearly stated expiration date at the time of purchase. Students are responsible for using all classes before the expiration date. Extensions will not be granted for:
- vacations
- work or school schedules
- illness or injury
- personal conflicts
- failure to attend regularly
- unused remaining classes
Extensions may be considered only when studio closures significantly prevent students from using their package.
Approved package extensions: (Each package may only be extended once.)
- 30-day extension: $25 + HST
- 60-day extension: $50 + HST
Unused paid classes from an expired package may be transferred to a newly purchased package within six months of expiry upon request. Promotional offers, complimentary classes, and bonus credits cannot be transferred or rolled over.
Studio Cancellations
3Dz Dance Studio reserves the right to:
- change instructors
- substitute instructors
- modify schedules
- change classroom assignments
- combine classes
- cancel classes
- discontinue programs
without prior notice when necessary. Reasonable efforts will be made to notify students of schedule changes.
Student Conduct
To maintain a positive learning environment, students are expected to:
- treat staff and fellow students respectfully
- follow instructor directions
- avoid disruptive or unsafe behaviour
- respect studio equipment and facilities
3Dz Dance Studio reserves the right to remove or refuse service to any student whose behaviour is disruptive, abusive, unsafe, discriminatory, or inappropriate. No refunds will be provided in these circumstances.
Health & Safety
Students are responsible for participating according to their own physical abilities. By attending classes, students confirm that:
- they are physically able to participate,
- they will inform instructors of any relevant injuries or medical conditions,
- they understand dance involves physical activity with inherent risks.
Students should stop participating immediately if they experience pain, dizziness, or injury.
Personal Injury & Assumption of Risk
Participation in dance and fitness activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to falls, collisions, muscle strains, sprains, fractures, and other injuries.
By participating, students voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation and release 3Dz Dance Studio Inc., its owners, employees, contractors, instructors, volunteers, and landlords from liability for injuries except where prohibited by applicable law or caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Personal Property
Students are responsible for their own personal belongings. 3Dz Dance Studio is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property left on the premises.
Photography & Video
Classes, performances, competitions, camps, workshops, and studio events may occasionally be photographed or recorded.
By participating, students grant 3Dz Dance Studio permission to use photographs and videos for promotional, educational, and marketing purposes without compensation.
Students may request removal of a specific image from future digital marketing materials by contacting the studio. Previously printed materials or advertisements already in circulation may continue to be used until depleted.
Privacy
Personal information collected during registration will be used for:
- registration administration
- class communication
- billing
- emergency contact
- studio updates
Information will not be sold or shared with unrelated third parties except where required by law or necessary to provide studio services.
Limitation of Results
Dance progress varies significantly between individuals.
3Dz Dance Studio makes no guarantee regarding individual skill development, performance outcomes, competition results, or fitness improvements, as these depend on each student’s attendance, effort, consistency, and personal ability.
General Terms
By registering for any class, program, lesson, workshop, camp, event, or rental, students acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by these policies. 3Dz Dance Studio reserves the right to amend these policies at any time. The most current version published on the studio website shall apply.
Membership Benefits & Usage Policy
3Dz Dance Studio memberships are designed to reward students who dance consistently while providing flexibility and exclusive member perks. Membership benefits are available only while the membership remains active and in good standing.
Monthly Class Credits
Membership includes a set number of class credits each billing cycle.
- Monthly class credits reset at the beginning of each membership cycle.
- Unused monthly credits do not roll over unless you purchase the add-on feature ($9/month).
- Class credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred to another person.
- Membership credits may only be used by the registered member.
Additional Classes
Members who have used all of their monthly class credits may purchase additional class credits at the same discounted per-class rate included with their membership.
Additional credits:
- must be purchased separately,
- are subject to the standard package validity period, and
- are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Free Monthly Studio Rental
Eligible VIP Members receive access to one complimentary shared studio rental session each month.
- The studio will designate a specific date and time for the complimentary rental session.
- The session is shared among eligible VIP Members and is intended for personal practice only.
- Advance booking is required as space may be limited.
- Studio availability is offered on a first come, first served basis.
- Complimentary rental time has no cash value and cannot be exchanged, transferred, or carried forward to future months.
- Members are expected to follow all studio rental rules during the session.
Member Perks
Depending on the membership level, members may receive exclusive benefits such as:
- discounted workshops and special events,
- early registration for programs and camps,
- exclusive member-only events,
- guest passes,
- merchandise discounts,
- priority access to limited-capacity classes, and
- other promotional offers announced throughout the year.
Benefits may vary by membership tier and are subject to change.
Membership Changes
Membership benefits are available only while the membership is active.
If a membership is cancelled, paused, expires, or becomes inactive:
- unused member benefits are forfeited unless otherwise stated,
- member-only pricing no longer applies, and
- exclusive perks end immediately upon the effective cancellation date.
Fair Use
Membership benefits are intended for personal use only.
3Dz Dance Studio reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership benefits if there is evidence of abuse, misuse, unauthorized sharing of benefits, or conduct that violates studio policies.
Changes to Membership Benefits
3Dz Dance Studio may introduce, modify, replace, or discontinue membership benefits from time to time. Members will be notified of any significant changes. Continued membership after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated membership benefits and policies.
Children’s Program Policy
The following policies apply to all children’s classes, camps, and youth programs offered by 3Dz Dance Studio.
Parent or Guardian Responsibility
A parent or legal guardian must complete all required registration information before a child attends class.
Parents are responsible for ensuring that all emergency contact information, medical information, and authorized pickup information remain accurate and up to date.
Arrival & Pickup
- Students should arrive no more than 10 minutes before their scheduled class unless otherwise instructed.
- Parents or guardians are responsible for ensuring children arrive safely at the studio.
- Children should be picked up promptly after class ends.
- 3Dz Dance Studio is only responsible for supervising children during their scheduled class time.
- Repeated late pickups may result in additional supervision fees or suspension from the program.
Authorized Pickup
Children will only be released to:
- a parent or legal guardian,
- an individual listed as an authorized pickup contact, or
- another person approved by the parent or guardian in advance.
Studio staff may request identification if necessary.
Parent Observation
Parents and guardians are welcome to wait in designated areas of the studio.
To minimize distractions and provide the best learning environment, parents may not enter dance studios during class unless invited by the instructor or required for a young child’s participation.
Observation weeks or showcase classes may be scheduled throughout the season.
Attendance & Absences
If your child will be absent, please notify the studio as early as possible.
Missed classes are not refundable and do not guarantee a makeup class unless specifically stated in the program description.
Illness
For the health and safety of all students, children should not attend class if they:
- have a fever,
- are experiencing vomiting or diarrhea,
- have a contagious illness,
- have symptoms that may interfere with safe participation.
Parents are encouraged to allow their child to return only after they are no longer contagious and are well enough to participate fully.
Medical Conditions & Allergies
Parents must inform the studio of any medical conditions, allergies, injuries, or accommodations that may affect their child’s participation.
While instructors will make reasonable efforts to provide a safe environment, parents acknowledge that dance instructors are not medical professionals and cannot provide medical treatment beyond basic first aid or emergency response.
Emergency Medical Care
In the event of a medical emergency, 3Dz Dance Studio staff may contact emergency services and then notify the parent or guardian using the emergency contact information provided during registration.
Any costs associated with emergency medical treatment are the responsibility of the parent or guardian.
Behaviour Expectations
Students are expected to:
- treat instructors and fellow students with kindness and respect,
- follow studio rules and instructor directions,
- use appropriate language and behaviour,
- care for studio property.
Disruptive, unsafe, or repeated inappropriate behaviour may result in removal from class. If behaviour continues after reasonable intervention, 3Dz Dance Studio reserves the right to suspend or discontinue a student’s enrollment without refund.
Washroom Policy
Children should use the washroom before class whenever possible.
For younger children who require assistance, parents or guardians should remain available while class is in session. Studio staff are not responsible for providing personal care or washroom assistance unless otherwise arranged in writing.
Photography & Performances
From time to time, classes, performances, showcases, camps, or studio events may be photographed or recorded for promotional purposes.
Parents who do not wish their child to appear in marketing materials should notify the studio in writing. While the studio will make reasonable efforts to honor such requests, it cannot guarantee exclusion from incidental appearances in group photographs or event recordings.
Child Safety
3Dz Dance Studio is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for every child.
Bullying, harassment, discrimination, or unsafe behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in immediate removal from the program.
